At mile marker 6.65 (from start of tour), you will notice on your RIGHT a cabin that Dan Lawson had built in the early 1870's. Both daughters: 'Miss Lizzie & Miss Lucy, lived here and taught school here in the Cove. James McCaulley and family rented this cabin for a short spell in the late 1870's before James McCaulley bought land and a home, carpentry & blacksmith shop for him & his family.
